Yeah, I like to make Ally perk up her ears cuz I think she looks so pretty when she does that. I tried my goat impersonation .... she ignored me. I clucked like a chicken and she turned away from me as if disgusted I tried to whinny like a horse, she closed her eyes still disgusted Well, with a now scratchy throat I tried to sound like a rooster, HA she perked up so I kept trying until finally I got that shot you see above All those barnyard kritters I tried didn't do a thing but that awful screech I did trying to sound like a rooster is all she actually liked. I should be insulted, right? Now I'm trying to sound like an eagle, but that's not as easy as I thought it would be. When I played the live cams where they're chattering to each other Ally perked up so I think I'll keep trying. What do you do to get your pup to perk up?

Hahah I had to laugh at this Rebelann. I don't have a dog but I am sure I would be making all sorts of crazy sounds if I did.

You mean like those women you've seen with their poodles talking in high pitched voices? I tried that and Ally just raised an eyebrow with a look that told me she thought I was nuts and wasn't going to bother with me.

My pups never like those squeaky sounds @TiarasOceanView As soon as the smoke clears I'm gonna look up alto, I know what base, tenor and soprano is but I don't recall an alto.

@rebelann No just weird words I would say..I am not a high pitched squeaker Rebelann, in fact I loathe that sound..I am an alto, always was.

That was a good and successful try. Preiti perks up when I call out the name of one of our maids who left us years ago. She still remembers her.

I woulda hurt yer ears. I do a pretty good goat and sheep or at least I think so, she doesn't react to either one. A couple days ago I played a video of eagles raising their babies and when they were chattering Ally perked up so now I'm trying to sound like one but so far I've failed miserably although Ally did twitch an eyebrow at my attempt.

Lol! Ally certainly looks adorable in that photo. We asked our dog if he wanted to go for a ride to get him to perk up his ears.

I remember Carols standard poodle getting all excited when she'd ask if he wanted to go for a ride, I just wish I had taken a few shots of that.

Dogs have the ability to read body language @DianneN something most of us have lost the ability to do.

@rebelann Sometimes we'd just hum that question or ask it in crazy ways. He always understood what we meant, somehow. Too funny!

Hey, in my defense, I'd tried to sound like any barnyard kritter, kitty and even tried to growl but the rooster I attempted was what she perked up to. I think this look is more like "Really? Are you nuts?"

Well, you got her attention. What were the cats doing when you were visiting the barnyard?
