Pumpkin's positive post: Waiting for a Call to See If Things Really Do Come in Threes

Good evening people. How are things? Well, after a little bit of a downward spiral, things seem to have begun to pick up again. A few things still wobbly, one or two things up in the air while we wait for other things but this week has, so far, been OK. I had a message about exchanging my home. I live in social housing and, as such, can exchange with another person in the same jurisdiction. Well, it's a good thing because the local council, for reasons I'm still waiting to find out, took our registration off the home finding service. The only reason I want to move is so that D can live with us. If it wasn't for the steps, he'd have just moved in here as it's a lovely flat in a (mostly) quiet area with everything we need close by. Anyway, I've made an arrangement to view a ground floor flat which is nearer to Mini's school so that's a bonus if we do move there. The current tenant of that place is coming to see my place tomorrow after I've seen theirs. I've been trying to get things looking presentable. It's not too bad but the bedrooms are messy. Of course, you never know what sort of standards other people have. I think the flat is OK but needs a good hoover and a few things put away whereas D probably thinks it's a complete mess! So the plan for tomorrow's 'date night'. Wednesday is date night but, as I said to D, it's the only evening we know I do have to rush around or get back to take or pick up Mini from anywhere. Today, there is a picture of me and D in a local paper. It's for a competition to win a wedding. So that's good too. I've asked all of our local family and friends to collect the voting coupons for us as the more we collect, the more chances we have. As for the call for which I am waiting, the lady said she would call after 5pm. It's almost 6pm. I hope she hasn't forgotten. I couldn't talk when she called earlier because I was working. That was a call from a lady at CBBC. That's Children's BBC television channel. Mini applied to be on a new game show. I'm very much hoping that she does call back, and that it will be good news for Mini. I've also been working a lot. This is both good and bad but good, of course, because it means more money. The extra will, all being well, go towards savings and used between our holiday/D's daughter's wedding and our move. If all goes to plan, the next couple of months are going to be stressful but in a good way, especially as we already have packed weekends for the next 6 weeks. But it's all good stuff. 3 of those 6 weekends are the boys' plays. One of them is Mini's birthday (which is also Father's Day). Another weekend will be @dorypanda 's birthday. The other will be D's birthday (but we might do something on his actual birthday in the week and keep the weekend free for sleeping! You may also remember that I was looking for a new hobby. I happened to stumble across a scuba diving school so I've enquired with them. I need to give them a call to check available dates. Well, that's about all from me, I think. I've had a break and a cup of tea. Now, I should remove the pest cat and get on with tidying. TTFN
