Have you ever thought about having your own business?

Yes I did when I was doing hairdressing I thought to have my own shop. But it never happened due to other circumstances. It was just as well as there is so much involved for me.

It's always been on my mind . . . one day when I can devote more time to such a business, I want to make it happen! I used to work as a graphic designer for the printing industry . . . but now I want to sell my own designs/art (instead of doing it for others) . . . but I still have a lot to think about!

Being a boss is not an easy job.

I did have my own business for many years and I sold hot dogs, chili etc. It was a small little place but we had regular customers and it was a lot of fun.

I am doing business number four now. 1. Babysitting - as a teen 2. Lawn care service - My 20`s 3. Industrial roofing - My 20`s and 30`s 4. Rental houses - mid 30`s till now I may kick up something different sooner than later. I am bored with all the rental house drama. But no matter what you do, you will always have a boss.

I would like to set up a centre for the elderly. For people who have no one to care for them. This would not be a business per se but more of a social place for them to gather and meet other people in the same boat.

You should be careful what you wish for if you want to have your own business. It is not as simple as it seems. You need to be able to manage your accounts and it can be difficult to take a holiday or even have a day off if you are not well. It can also be too easy to not work as hard as you might for a boss.

Yes, I dream to be my own boss. But on ther other side, the pressure will be heavier than being an employee only. People count on you and you can't say quit easily.

I would like to run my own software company but I think that's just a dream and I will have to first find out what it feels like to work under a Boss.
