It is the the 375th anniversary of the founding of Montreal. So, the city has organised some special activities for the occasion. One was, the parading of some giants puppets through the streets of Montreal. I went to see what the excitement was all about and the picture is of one of them. The video that somebody put on YouTube shows them in action. Quite a spectacle! Have you ever seen them? Any spectacles happening in your city this year?

We had these giants in our capital city some years ago. We had a little girl and also this same diver. They were magical to watch.

Yes, they are the same marionettes that we had. There were a few different ones that I was able to see. I also took a picture of the same girl. She is even wearing the same dress. I guess she only has one dress.

Reminds me of Republic Day celebrations in my homeland Guyana, all the bright costumes and nicely decorated floats.

In the picture you can see all the people involved in making it walk. I think there about 35 people involved.
