Dirty Dancing is one of my favorite movies

I turned on the TV yesterday and saw that Dirty Dancing was on. It had just started airing. I stopped what I was doing and glued myself to the screen... never moving until the movie was over.
I love this movie!!! The story, the main actors, the feelings... I can watch it endless times, even if I catch it on TV and it's not from the beginning. I never get tired of watching it. Never get bored. It's one of my most favorite movies. I am even thinking of buying it on DVD - the 30th anniversary collector's edition. I don't have a DVD player though, so won't be able to watch it. Unless, I will be able to watch on my laptop.
There will a Dirty Dancing musical airing May 24th on TV and I am very excited of course... I am DVRing. But hope to watch it as it airs as well.

Dirty Dancing was in my top 5 fav movie list. I have seen it dozens of time. I will not however watch this remake - it cannot compare to the original.

There was another Dirty Dancing movie called Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights. I've never seen it but I've heard it wasn't that great. And was nowhere near the original.
This one is a musical. Of course it won't be the same as the original movie but I am very excited about it. Great cast. And it's a musical version of it.

It definitely didn't live up to the original but I really enjoyed it. Though I have to say the chemistry between the lead actors wasn't as great as the chemistry between the lead actors in the original movie.
And they changed it up a little, which in a way is good because this is a remake. I certainly didn't expect the ending... That was a surprise.

I don't have a DVD drive on my laptop but I do have an external one I can connect to it. I don't remember though if it can play DVDs. May be CD only. Will have to check.
