Penchant for Comfortable Shoes, Sandals

Since I suffered an inflamed foot, apparently due to high uric acid, or inflamed nerves on the feet, I opted to wear flats or rubber shoes that are very soft and comfortable to wear. During that time, that was two years ago, I can only use my Crocs sandals which is so soft for me; then I bought a Skechers rubber shoes so I can walk well, and for biking when I could not walk in the morning. Now I always prefer to wear those comfortable foot apparel, though some could be very costly, like Merrell sandals. They could cost so much, but very comfortable to the feet and could last for years. Do you also go for comfort than style?

I go for comfort now in my shoes too. I am taking crocs overseas as they are good to wear in the shower in caravan parks.

@acelawrites My wife had problem in her feet and had to undergo physiotherapy. The doctor recommended Crocs shoes- those are comfortable but came at a price and pricewise it pinched me a lot.

Crocs is very useful indeed; I wear it during rainy days.

Yes, I have found that being in pain just to look cute is kind of dumb, to be honest. I always go for comfort.

So true, when in pain, we could not have so many options but seek comfortable footwear so we can walk with ease.

Comfort comes first for me. Many will suffer for fashion, but that has never been my thing @acelawrites

Yes, I understand your preference because I have it too; I am no fashionista but go for comfort first.

@acelawrites We saw some wild shoes today! Should have taken a photo-no clue how someone walks in some of what we have seen lately.

I don't know about roper boots; are they the ones used by cowboys when riding horses?

I'm a fashion type of gal. However, I always look for comfort these days, but would still wear 5 inch heels if I wanted to.

I found it uncomfortable to wear high-heeled shoes (so many years ago when I was working in an office); but lately, I preferred comfortable shoes/sandals for walking.

I can't wear Crocs at all. I find they pinch my feet. I haven't had a comfortable pair of sandals in some time. But I found a crochet pattern for sandals made with the soles of flip flops, and I think that I'll try to make some this summer. The cotton yarn will feel good on my feet.

Oh I had seen that sandals too, which can be fashioned out of flip flop soles, with some crochet patterns. It could be so comfortable and cool to wear!

Comfort should be the top agenda; I agree.
