Just A Thought.......

I know that the bomb at the concert the other night is in the news and in all of our thoughts right now. I just saw where this mother put a sweet message to her daughter on FB in remembrance. How very sad! But, this got me to thinking....... When I was a teen my mom always made me call her when I got to a certain destination and at certain times. I would usually roll my eyes and promise her I would. Then when my daughter got to that age I remembered my mom and I understand. I bet these moms in Manchester would wish for just this one call and would promise never to ask their kids to call again to check in if they just would this one time. It really grips my heart.

I know what you mean, it's heartbreaking. I always rolled my eyes too but when you're a parent you understand. Our children are our world and their health and safety mean everything to us. I can't even imagine what those moms are going through nor do I want to. I'm tired of hearing of things like this, it's just so sad.

I am tired of it too but we have to carry on and be strong for our kids and show them we can persevere.

@sissy15 .....That's why it is nice to have things to take our minds off of it for a while. I watch TBBT or something as good.

I remember how my parents would be worried too if I did not communicate where I was - and now as a parent myself I stand where they used to stand. I feel so badly for the victims and their families . . .

That is sad waiting for a call to see if their love ones were ok.

It's very sad. I've done it too and my friends have asked me to call when I got home as well when I left their place.

It is a show of caring and respect to actually do it. My mom was always a bit over bearing but I always knew she loved me.
