Some Day My Prince Will Come

When I was a girl I used to love fairy tales, the type where the prince would come and save or rescue the princess and they would live happily ever after. When I married years later I thought, wow, I have found my prince. Sadly I found out that I had not. After our divorce I wanted nothing to do with any kind of relationship. I was determined to be alone. I had a friend who used to tell me "You will kiss a lot of frogs before you find your prince". I would think "Maybe so, but I am just not interested". A couple of years later my girls and I moved from North to South. I found a job and made some friends. One of my friends kept wanting to introduce me to her brother. I, of course, resisted. One day he came to pick her up from work and I met him. It was funny but he looked so familiar to me, sort of like someone I used to know. He was someone I used to know slightly in middle school. He had been in my 6th grade class. We became friends and one thing led to another. We have now been married for twenty years. Little did I know, my prince was someone I have know since I was 11 years old. Who knew.
