Sleep naked. Yes, that's it. Sleeping cooler seems to induce a deeper sleep and so you are more apt to get a better night's sleep.
It reduces insomnia because if the body is overheated it is not able to release excess heat and will make you wakeful, unable to sleep through out the night causing insomnia.
Between 10p. and 2a. the body levels of cortisol drop. Cortisol is the stress hormone and if you don't get enough in the body it could encourage excess belly fat. Sleeping cooler makes the body transform regular fat into brown fat which is metabolism boosting.
Two anti-aging acting agents in the body, growth hormone and melatonin, are better produced when you sleep in a cooler environment. So, by sleeping well you are actually staving off premature aging.
This can also help to improve relationships due to more skin contact with your significant other and production of the hormone oxytocin. This is a powerful hormone that increases the feelings of attachment and bonding. This can also make your sex organs happier by increasing air flow to areas such as the vagina. In doing so doing it reduces the production of yeast and bacteria.

I have my day-shift/nightgown right by my bed at all times.

@Marty1 .....I would grab my gown and run putting it on as I go. Wouldn't care if it was inside out or not.

I don't want any skin contact when I go to sleep - I want my space!!!!

@celticeagle That's why we got a king size bed - and some times it's still not big enough!

During Summer it might be a good idea. The ideal temperature for a bedroom is about 16° C/60° F, and usually bedrooms in hotels are overheated, making sleep difficult. When I read inventories from the 19th C, I am amazed by the number of sheets, blankets, foot-covers, etc on beds : due to the risk of carbon intoxication, people were never doing a chimney fire when they were sleeping.

I never did it. I get good sleep as I remain tired at night.

@celticeagle Thanks Delerious. India has tropical climate. In the summer we switch on the AC while we sleep.
