I managed to get more of the garden bed turned over yesterday. My back bothered me along with my knees and feet. Dang arthritis! Hubby is supposed to bring a small tractor from the farm he works at too finish the job. Then we will add more soil to the bed and hopefully get the planting done soon. If not, I'll be back at it tomorrow. That is if the weather holds out.

Yes a good turning over with the tractor will do nicely. Still you got a lot done there Elusive. I bet your back hurts, mine would too.

I have to wait for him to bring home the tractor in order to finish. He needs to get rid of the brush and pull the stumps of the Bush out.

@ElusiveButterfly Oh yes that would have to be done with the tractor.

There is still that task of removing the the shrubbery that is left from when he felled the huge bush. Most of it is gone, but there is still quite a bit.

@Shavkat trust me, I am careful. I won't be able to work if I hurt my back.

Garden work is tons harder than going to a gym. We're starting to harvest peas. Pretty soon it will be too warm for them. I also shared a fat strawberry with my hubby. I wish we had a tractor here. Our area of the world is called Rock 40. It should be called boulder 40.

Rocks are abundant after a long winter. The frost pushes them up.

That looks like backbreaking work. I'm certain the tractor will do the job quickly.

He didn't bring it home tonight. Not sure when it will happen. I don't want to get the plants in too late. Won't get a good harvest if we do.

"My" flowerbed has been tidied. My planters are filled....now I'm trying to tackle the front flowerbed....but this afternoon the mosquitoes drove me back inside.

@Morleyhunt iI try to keep the puddles around the place to a minimum. Unfortunately we live near a wooded area and they breed in the moisture of the leaves.

@ElusiveButterfly this morning it is raining so I won't be getting to the flowerbeds today and it will probably bring out even more mosquitoes.

I remember gardening when I was a lot younger, and remember how satisfying it is when you are picking all the Fresh grown vegetables, etc. Many times now I miss it even though I know it is not something I could do.

Eventually I hope to have raised garden beds. That will eliminate my back pain.

I have to dig a hole to plant my small fig tree that is now in a big vase. Today it rains, the soil will be softer tomorrow.

That is the one good thing about the rain, it does soften the soil and makes it easier to bring up rooted plants. I have my work cut out for me though. I am breaking new ground.

I hope he brings the tractor and saves your back, knees, and feet. Arthritis is so hard on the body.

He is off to a bow shoot today. Not sure if he will be back in time to get this done today. Hopefully I'll get to plant soon.
