There are some TV programs that I can’t stand the judges' judgmental statements. If I feel it is way beyond judgment, I will look for another TV channels. I am sure some of you don’t like to be judged by others but it seems unrealistic if not. I prefer to be judged if it is in a constructive criticism way. But I am not into over judged for personal intentions. "Judges are Judgmental: Agree or Disagree?" Image Credit: pixabay.com

The social media thing had made us all judgemental, specially to those who don't have a real name over there.

@Shavkat hmmm, yes, we tend to be judgmental, but when we know the real score, then we may take back our previous thoughts and change it otherwise.

@ridingbet I agree. It would be nice to give constructive criticism than no basis at all.

A lot of people are, be it on television or in real life. I sometimes guilty of being judgmental as well. It's not intentionally, but somehow it just struck like a lightning and its too late to realize that I'm being judgmental. It's always the first impression that I had on a first meeting with someone I don't know. But, I don't say it vocally. The case would be, "I thought you're.... but you're not" kind of thing.

I am judgmental on my way. I don't talk much seeing a person for the first time. I need to silently observe the person. I never said anything unless being provoked.

I agree with you and I don't like these types of TV programmes. I don't rush to judge people and don't want to be judged but if people do, I don't care.

I don't care if people judge me. If it is below the belt, then it is not acceptable.

@Bodyandbrain I usually ignore them. If it is out of control, I need to defend myself against them.

First, we need to judge ourselves and then judge another. If people judge me easily I simply ignored them, I know myself, I know what I am and I won't let people define me, because sometimes they just try to make us like them, and that's impossible.

I also feel the same way. There is a comedian personality that I hated in a TV program in noon time. I feel annoyed with his jokes.

I am not a judgmental type but I do know a lot of people who are. I see judging in TV as merely entertainment and yes some can go over the top sometimes

@shavkat They are not judges, if they are not judgmental. However, I do agree with you that it is cheap to provide entertainment to public at the expense of someone else's plight. Judges would do better if they are less authoritarian and more sympathetic.

I agree. It seems empathy is so strong for these judges. I would understand if doctors do the empathic behavior. They need to be in this kind of behavior to their patients.

It's their job to be judgmental. Haha. But they should remain realistic, not just being a destructive critic. Perhaps TV shows could let their contestants defend whatever is being judged about them?

It was their job. The feedback should be based on what's relevant to being judged.

Acc to me... No one can judge.. Anyone's talent.. So judging is all about sharing your views on something... But if someone judges u nd use them for critisizing ...than...i think its totally wrong.....

That's the ideal thing to do. They can judge to make a person better and not to destroy the person.

Depends on the judge, and why they are critisizing someone. Personally, I find people in general overall to be more critisizing than most judges

I agree that sometimes the judges are very rude and even makes fun of the people or makes them cry. If they want to say something to the participants they can also say it without being rude. When its come to constructive criticism I generally appreciate it especially when it is for work related issues.

I know judges. There are a lot of stupid people in their courtrooms. However, judging can be done with tact. TV is for entertainment.

I completely agree with you most often they ridicule contestants, making them look like fools.Just take advantage of being on the seat of judge.
