Think of pickpockets. What comes to our mind is a rough, unshaven man or a boy who is in and out of jail and carrying a small or big knife.
Yet in a statistical analysis, a curious finding came into limelight:
90% of pickpockets are females. Also, many employ interesting tactics to get wallet of unsuspecting person.
Many carry a toddler with them, and ask a man to help. Then one partner of the woman gets hold of the wallet of the man, and then they flee, leaving the unsuspecting person with frustration and shock afterwards.
Many do get caught, but they move on and repeat their act at another metro station after paying Rs. 200 to 500 fine.
So next time if any of you is traveling by Delhi metro, be extra careful.

Pick pocketing is very common in metro as well as in buses. Few months’ back I was on my way to office in bus, nearing the stop I got up from my seat and stood there as there so many people there to get down in my front. Suddenly I felt someone pulls my bag back and turning head on back to look what it is, one lady's hand in my bag, very busy on searching something. As a sudden reaction my hand is up to slap her but luckily I controlled. Another lady was with her, explained me your zipper is damaged? ( to save her) To my luck she put her hand in a section where I keep my lunch so there was no luck with her. I could not do anything more other than scolding her as I had to get down from the bus.
They select the buses with much rush. Honestly I avoid the if there is rush in bus and wait for the next one.

As long as there is poverty is elsewhere, there will be always crime just to survive and find something to eat. It's no different in my country.

Poverty should not be a license to commit crimes.

No matter how hard governments try to stop crimes, criminals find a new methodology to deter them.
As more time passes, crime rates are drastically high.
