My daughters birthday

My daughter's 9th birthday is coming up. (It's June 22nd).
It's a very tough day for me. But like any other day I try to find things that make me happy or that distract me to get me through, though extra on this day..
So I made a "Happy 3rd Birthday Savannah" shirt to wear for her 3rd birthday. Which I also put "Love, Mommy" on it, and stenciled different colored animals on it (because of her age). Then I took a picture in it to have it on facebook for her to hopefully one day see, along with a picture of me in mine and my mom in hers. (See above pictures)
Then, two years ago I decided to just write on a piece of paper and take a picture with it. It may not be the idea most would come up with, but I thought it was better than nothing. (See picture).
Oh, I also write "happy birthday" to her on all my social medias every year. And make the ones on facebook public, so she can one day see them.

She was adopted by her foster family. She'll know she's adopted before she sees them, otherwise she wouldn't know about me to see them.

@NJChicaa it is, and i struggle with it every day.
But thankful her foster family loved her enough, to adopt her. Even though they mainly did it because she had medical problems from the abuse, and they were already used to the doctors and schedules for it all.
Teens need people to fister them more, so that would be a real good thing if you did it.

@Courtlynn That must be so hard to deal with. We've considered being foster parents. We have no interest in being parents of our own but would like to help other children, preferably older teens.

I've written to her alot on my facebook page. And only my posts to / about her are public. Everything else i post are just for friends to see.
I've also written to her a few times over the years on paper. And have a photobook I made, with her/our photos from ultrasounds to our last visit when she aas 1.5 years old, with captions for each page.

Great pictures. I think what you are doing is a wondeful things and some day she will see them all and know how much you love her and always have. I like the idea that you came up for this year. I think you should go with that idea.
