Flag Day is celebrated each year in the US on June 14th. If you have an American Flag make sure you display it today.
When my sister was little my mother used to tell her she helped Betsy Ross make the flag. I hope now that she is far into adulthood that she still doesn't believe it!
Is your flag out and flying proudly?
You can read more about our Flag and some of the history in the link below.
Photo is mine.

we have an old one that we keep inside, I think it needs retired and honorably destroyed, but I havent talked to J, it may have sentimental value. We need to get a place up and a new one out

We had to properly dispose of the last one - took it to VFW.

@Jessicalynnt We always go to the vFW since we know they have the drop box for the flags.

I would but we are not allowed to fly any flags here in the apartment complex.
I remember a Denver man got in embroiled in some legal battle over doing so at his apt complex.
Its crazy.
Happy Flag Day.

@AbbyGreenhill Yes there has. Regardless, they can't squash my American heart and spirit and patriotism.

I had no idea it was Flag day. Usually I would see or hear something, but not this yr. Did everyone quit mentioning this now everywhere?

My grandma was very patriotic. She always had the flag out on Flag Day.

Yes, our flag is out flying proudly in our yard (husband has it flying on a flag pole he bought).

I have a feeling fewer people will fly the flag for various reasons.

Thanks!!!! Me too. Flaws and all still the best country.

I can imagine how upset he is that it comes the same day as Flag Day. May be very few remember it's also his birthday.
