Just another day in paradise LOL!

All things considered I am in a fairly decent mood this morning...maybe because we got rain yesterday afternoon - over an inch and we could use more! They are predicting more storms/rain today, but I don't think it will be in my neck of the woods. We are as ready as we can be for the carpet installers. The reason we are paying extra for them to move the furniture is because we're not young and we don't like trying to kill ourselves doing jobs we can pay to have done. We've moved all the small things and some of the lighter furniture, but that's it for us. They should be here in about an hour, if you never hear from me again it will be because I flipped out LOL! Hope the carpet installation goes smoothly and you're happy with the job. I would pay extra for all that furniture to be moved too

If they don't give us any lip about moving too much they will get a nice tip!

to be fair if I had the money, those kinds of things I would pay someone else to do too.

We aren't getting younger that's for sure and I rather pay than to wind up in the ER!

@Jessicalynnt Even with paying for jobs you still have work to do - we are putting things back - cleaning and dusting and walking a lot LOL...taking a break now.

Hopefully, everything goes well with the carpets. I'm sure they will look nice once the carpets are installed.

@dodo19 We fund buckets of dog hair once the future was removed from the rooms!

It is going to change the look, plus cover Ruby's scratches, and we won't hear her nails on the hardwood all night since she paces at night!

We had lots of rain in spring - about 15 inches, but we have clay soil and it's dries out fast. The little rain from yesterday mostly evaporated.

I do hope you get rain after the carpet is installed. I'd be flipping all over the4 place if it did decide to rain while it is being brought into the house.

They can park in the garage and no one or carpet would get wet.

You did the right thing by hiring those carpet installers. That is what we usually do too as my dad suffers from back pain and he can bend down that much or lift heavy objects. Hope that the carpet installation gets done soon

@AbbyGreenhill I worry about that too. Some people don't think about how dangerous that can be.

@LeaPea2417 Two or three years ago the farmer across the road emptied fireplace ashed outside and they caught the grass on fire and that spread to the field between him and us...if it had crossed the road we could have gone up in flames.

Ours didn't last long, but anything is better than nothing. I worry about people tossing out cig butts an starting grass fires.

I think that we will have no more storms for today, but the temperature is not bad. Good luck with your carpet installation.

@AbbyGreenhill I hate when workers arrive later than announced. I feel nervous fearing they do not show up.

@LadyDuck they showed up just as I typed that comment. However, they didn't have all the supplies - one had to run to Lowe's (an hour round trip, not back yet) and the other guy is putting down the tac strips.

It is almost exactly the same as the photo - which we got from the same place...an old friend in the carpet biz. It is a beige but shows as a little on the grey side in photos for some reason.

@Tampa_girl7 It is a good color to hide dirt LOL! I like to keep things in a more neutral color and then have pops of color here and there.
