Do you consume products that are out of date?

Many people tend to be extremely restricted as to the expiration date of the food, others... Not so much.
I am part of the second group because depending on the type of food, I don't stop consuming exactly after the expiration date.
For example: A snack that is one or two days out of date never did me any harm. But food like meat I always consume before it expires by the expiration date.
What about you?

It really depends on what it is..as a rule I do not, but I do make an exception depending on what it is.

Well if we purchase on sale some items like meat or sausage and the expiration is in a day or two we freeze it for later use and then consume. However if it is food that cannot be frozen and just about expired we eat up as quick as we can.

I always do, and trust my own judgement. You can see and smell if something is going bad. Generally products are safe to eat up to a week later. It also depends on how you are storing the product.
I think this a new thing to protect suppliers, fifty years ago you would not have had dates all over products.
The only exception for me to the above is fish products.

I don't really care for expiry date, that if I wasn't able to be done with it before the deadlines! Mostly I don't but such foods too which are to be consumed strictly within the labelled expiry.

I'm part of the first group, because I had bad experiences with the expiration date of some products that I had brought and now I'm very careful with that. I don't want to taste something horrible and go back to the store to change that product.

Depends on the food. I think foods like bread will last a little longer. Meat I consume or freeze before the expiration date. The smell test is another way I check stuff. Do that with milk. With cheese products I will just look, you can definitely tell when its no longer any good.
