This is one I am watching on youtube. I was guided to it by recommendations on my front page. I saw a snippet of an episode someone had uploaded and that led me to the full documentary. I am watching the first episode now. The lady (Ruth Goodman?) who was in the Victorian Pharmacy is also taking part in this one. A year on a Victorian homestead. Could you do it?

I've never watched these documentaries. I don't think I'd have a problem living like that, but I'd rather not have to find out for sure.

@Poppylicious Not ,my favorite past time by any means. I don't think you'd be saying you liked cleaning after having to do everything by hand and cleaning up soot so much day in and day out! I've been watching this documentary and that's one thing they highlighted. The unbelievable amount of soot!

@Marty1 Hahaha! Yes! It was definitely more grueling work back then but they did eventually get to simpler methods before finally inventing my friend Mr. Washer and Dryer!

I remember watching that and think this one would be more up your street...same woman and same men if I remember rightly. If I was offered some role in a documentary about tudor times and it was for a year (paid) I'd take it...may not do well but I would do it for the full year.

Yes, I'll look for that one after I watch this one. The one I am currently watching is interesting to me as well. Yeah, I'd go and do a project like that for a year myself, but definitely not without complaint.

I was hoping you would spot this.I think it might interest you.. it's really about homesteading and nothing too gory is shown, which is good.
