Back to doing the simple easy pillows

Couple of years ago, I bought a bunch of the zip closing pillow covers that usually is used to put over the pillow but under the case. and because I couldn't find a decent size or amount of fluff I wanted in just pillows already made you buy, I got the bright idea to just make my own by stuffing the zip covers with stuffing I bought and zipping cause I don't like sewing either. easy peasy. I made a couple that way which is easy to move around where and how I want them plumped etc. kept a couple of the old regular pillows that still was pushed down enough. I like a lot of pillows because I need to lay a certain way up so I don't choke on my phlegm as I sleep and keep breathing. I ordered what seemed like a regular size pillow , actually 2 but they are way too plump after all. they slide around and won't stay positioned right. daughter said well they will wear down after a bit like the others. But I can't wait on that so I cut a hole in them and took stuffing out and put in some more zipper covers. So now I did have to sew the small holes I cut but got more pillows to move and position how I want. Saved money and finally got what I need. what do you think?

@bunnybon7 As the years go by, many seem to be returning to the older way of doing things! Simple, but works.

I like having more than one pillow to raise up. Your idea was a great one.

@noni1959 i figured as much. thanks for letting me know that kind of bed wouldn't help. in the hospital they have those beds that raise and i always slip down in them so i pretty well figured it might be the same with sleep number bed

@bunnybon7 I have one of those beds that raise up and yet I never do since I tend to slide. It's a sleep number my daughter gave me a year ago. I use two pillows to read.

Smart and economical. I bought a couple of special pillows a few years ago. Ones that had the pink ribbon embroidered on them. They were pretty, I am into pink big time and, I wanted to do something for the cause. They mushed down real bad in less than a year and I was very unhappy. What I did was stuff both of them in a pillow case and used it as one.

What a great idea too. Pillows here are quite awful sometimes. I got fed up of buying special pillows and have gone back to the others.

@bunnybon7 There are pillows and there are pillows lets put it that way. Seems the more special they are supposed to be the worse they are.

Sounds like a great way to get what you need. I love down pillows and I have a hard time finding just the perfect ones, but with trial and error I do,
