"Who always wear uncomfortable shoes: women or men?"

I am not sure if women are really the one who wears uncomfortable shoes. Some women love to buy a pair of heels. It wasn’t just heels. The heels of their shoes are like a weapon that can poke anyone because of the height itself. lol Regardless, men are always head over heels to women wearing high-heeled shoes. It is a fact and cannot be denied for some men out there. On the other hand, there is always the risk in wearing high-heeled shoes. It can injure them. “What do you think?” Image Credit: pixabay.com

I wear high heels when I go out most of the time, I have the habit and I walk with no problems. For me the sneakers are very uncomfortable and the flip flop a real pain, you walk like a duck wearing those things and this is very bad for your back and your posture.

Why is it only bad for women's walk and posture?

How high are the heels? I also read about wearing too high heels can cause low back pain. Since it can move the line of gravity forward and the back needs to compensate it by pulling oneself backward.

@Shavkat I never wear those crazy 12 cm. heels that can damage your feet. My high heels are never higher than 8 to 9 cm., that are considered safe by the orthopedist.

I don't wear those heels. I am terrified of hurting my spine and being on bed, or injuring any part of leg and ending up with chronic pains.

I agree. Some women who are wearing high heels complain of having low back pain. At some instances, they might have ankle sprains once walking in a fast pace on the street. That's painful!

I never used very high heeled shoes. But since I got back surgery, the doctor told me to use other types of shoes. In summer, I mostly use flip flops and sandals and in Winter I use low heeled shoes. Sketchers with memory foam have become the best for home use.

I think that type of footwear is comfortable and can make you safer in walking. I had seen some women who had self-inflicted for having ankle sprain with the usage of high heels.

I think that's a good way to refrain from having body pains. I was so fascinated by some women that they can endure wearing the high heels for long hours.

I don't think all women who wear high heels are not comfortable wearing them for the fact that they wear high heels that means they are already use of wearing it. One cannot stand for minutes walking down the street if she isn't used in wearing high heels. Lucky are those women who gets the chance to wear it comfortably. I count myself on it since i usually wear high heels often than any flat shoes. :)

It is nice to hear that you are not having a problem wearing high heels. I read that wearing high heels for a couple of times can result in having calluses.

@Shavkat hmm it depends as i don't have calluses on my soles. You seem to get so interested with heels. Do you plan to start wearing heels? if so, then you should try to choose or buy those with short inches first.

Even though I wore all sorts of heels when younger, I never found them uncomfortable, though they may look it. So on the whole I would guess it is women.

I think it is nice for women to wear high heels in different events. I like the way they walk with tapping sounds on the floor. They must be having strong leg muscles to keep in balance.

I don't like wearing high heels at all @Shavkat , they are uncomfortable and I am tall, so I am happy to wear flat shoes.

Well, it is better to be comfortable than using because most women wear high heels. There is no reason to wear high heels because you are tall and no need to be taller.

Some orthopedics discouraged to wear high heels. It might cause foot callouses, muscle pain, muscle strain, etc. It is better to feel comfortable while walking with flat shoes.

I wear high heels most of the time... it's not because I like to wear them, but because I'm too small when standing next to anyone... I prefer to wear runners so I can run or jump or do whatever I want without hurting myself..

Actually,I can attest to that that there is always a risk in wearing high heels. Before, stilettos are like that in the picture and I wore those kinds. Good thing now, the heels are still high but the soles are at least big based like an inch. I love wearing heeled shoes and sandals. It makes me look sexy in my skinny jeans.
