Movie Review - The Astronaut Farmer

I love all things space - usually. I'm not a fan of Lost in Space, though I did watch it. I haven't seen that movie and have no intention of doing so. That said, most space related shows and movies have high interest for me. The Astronaut Farmer is no exception. He has a dream to go into outer space. He wears a space suit and talks space. He has a spaceship in his barn that he built himself and his son is his flight commander. What could possibly go wrong? This is a delightful movie. None of the actors were familiar to me save Bruce Dern, but that doesn't matter, they were all good actors. The plot is believable and keeps you watching just to find out what is going to happen next. And what happens next will surprise you. I gave this a thumbs up rating. If Netflix had the old way of rating it would clearly be 5 stars. That's how good I think it was. If you like space movies as much as I do, I hope you will give this one a look see.
