When Jon Jon Died I am quite certain that most of the people of my generation do remember when John F Kennedy died. When asked the question "What were you doing when you learned of President Kennedy assassination?", everyone remembered exactly and knew the answer fast. Personnaly I was in High School and it was during the Cooking Class that we heard about the tragic news. But when President Kennedy's son Jon Jon died, not so many people remembered what they were doing. But I do. I was at my computer desk at home and listening to: Chopin - Nocturne op.9 No.2 on YouTube: and now whenever I listen to this piece from Chopin, I am taken back to the moment where I learned of his tragic death. I was wondering if you do remember what you were doing then?

I certainly do. My hubby and I were on a plane flying to NYC. We met a Newsweek reporter who told us that John John, his wife and her sister were missing in the plane that he was flying. As we landed they were still looking for them.

I remember where I was also, I was at my aunt's place, we had just left the church where my cousin had gotten married, and since we were from out of town, we all went to her place to kill a couple of hours before we went to the supper and reception. Now when his father, JFK, passed, I was a little girl still in diapers, so I don't remember that. I do remember when Lady Diana passed, we had been out to a pig roast and an outdoor summer party. We came home and sat outside together and chatted before going into the house to go to bed. We turned the tv on and were shocked at the news that she had just been in a car accident and that it was probably fatal judging by the looks of the vehicle. That news really impacted me a I liked her so much.
