Hey everyone. I hope your doing well. =) The time at church to see our kids off to camp was...well interesting.
Josiah was screaming due to teething, my poor baby. =( There was a lady (who probably meant well) who tried talking to him-which made him scream more. Then she said let me see him I will stop his tears and just took him from me!
She said oh, he needs a diaper change that's what is wrong. I said I just changed him but thanks and took my son back. Since I have 5 children I'm pretty sure I know how to take care of my son without help from a stranger...
Then my husband brought the kids stuff to be loaded onto the bus. I asked him 3 times, are you sure you got it all? He said I'm positive. I get in the truck and bam! Our daughter's duffle bag with all her clothes was in the back seat! Thought you said you got it all? Oh, I thought I did. Thank God the bus didn't leave by the time I found it-that would have been really bad.
All is well that ends well I suppose. They are at camp and they have everything they need. =)
And...I miss them so much already.

Glad you checked the trunk before the bus left. I would not let anyone hold my kid especially if i didn't know them. Glad you stepped up and kinda told her off. I hope your kids have fun at camp.

@Blondie2222 Yes me too, that would have been a disaster! It made me very uncomfortable what that lady did. I tried to be polite as possible but it annoyed me. Thank you. =)

I never trusted strangers to hold or touch my babies. What if they dropped the baby, had dirty hands, ran off, etc.? Glad you managed to get your daughter her duffle bag on time! That definitely would have been awful for her.
I'm sure you miss them. We missed our boys when they both went off to overnight camp and never got used to it.

@DianneN Yeah I didn't like it at all and then her comment was just rude.
Yes I'm glad it didn't get left behind-that would have been awful!
I do miss them like crazy, it's strange without them home.

@DianneN Yes my house feels weird at the moment. Lol. I have had more time for the babies, that's for sure. =)

@LovingMyBabies Mothers know best! That's for certain.
I'm sure your house must feel so empty, but it will give you more time for the little guys and hopefully for yourself!

Good thing you checked or she would have been without clothes that would not have been good for her. It was nice of the lady to try and help with the baby even if it did only make it worse.

@Tina30219 I know, I am so glad I checked! It would have been horrible.
Well, she did make it worse but she also offended me so I was kind of annoyed by it.

@LovingMyBabies I would have been offended as well. If this woman only knew this is not your first child you know what you are doing.

@Tina30219 Exactly, I don't like being treated like I have no idea what I'm doing with children-I have plenty of experience in that area. Lol

I'm sure she meant well. But it would've made me nad if someone just took my kid.. if they were a stranger. Thank god for mommies and double checking things!

@Courtlynn I'm sure she did but it annoyed me a bit. She thought I was a young clueless mom from the way she spoke to me and acted.
Yeah, so glad I double checked because he would have left without her having the most important bag!

@Courtlynn There were a lot of kids there and they were all sitting at their assigned seats so just the babies were with me at the time.

What was the feeling of the kids when they left ? Did they feel sad as they are leaving, or just fine.
Ah the woman , may be she thought you are young clueless mom..as you look very young..

Thanks, I was so glad I saw that bag before they left. She would have been hysterical if her stuff wasn't there.

Some women act like know-it-alls when it comes to children. I would have been annoyed too if I were in your shoes. It's pretty arrogant to go up to a complete stranger, take their baby from them and declare the baby needs a diaper change when he just had one (and is crying from teething to boot.) Or to even think that they're some kind of magic gift to crying babies that they can "stop their tears." It annoys me when I see women acting like this, and I don't even have any children!
I'm glad you were able to get your daughter's dufflebag to her before the bus left. That would have been pretty bad for her to arrive at camp without any clothes!

@Srbageldog Yes exactly my point! It annoyed me because she had no clue what she was talking about and tried to make it seem like I was the idiot. Grrr...
Yes it would have been horrible if her bag was left.

Yeah that is why I do not talk to peoples children, the parents do not like it. I would have never took a baby from its mother.
I hope the kids have fun.

@andriaperry I didn't mind that she talked to him, I did mind when she snatched him from me and then told me basically I don't know what I'm doing.

He said I thought all the bags were in the way back...
If anything ever happened to me I would be worried.
