Thank You, Dr. Raynaud!

Dr. Raynaud and I have never met (considering he died in the 19th century), but I have his "syndrome." Nine months out of the year it's a pain in the butt to have Raynaud's disease (or Raynaud's syndrome as they call it now, given that it really isn't a "disease"), but in the summer, it's a blessing. Raynaud's syndrome/disease, for all of its "you have that? You should be making out your will" sound, is a rare, relatively harmless condition. It's more common in people with an underlying condition like diabetes (in which case it's called "Raynaud's phenomenon"), but in rare instances it just rears itself in people with no medical cause. And what is this syndrome? For some reason, that only Dr. Raynaud knows, I get cold after drinking a cold beverage. In fact, as I type this, I'm shivering after drinking a soft drink for lunch. And, as @LoriAMoore can attest, I don't get ice in my drinks....for this very reason. But it's 86 degrees outside right now, so when I walk outside I'm actually going to feel good while everyone else is fanning themselves. It won't last long, but for a moment I'll actually not complain about the head. Thanks, Dr. Raynaud! Now, if your disease could only go south for the winter....
