When I was in college, my friend came to me quite excitedly. "Hey, she texted me one-four-three!", said he. Beaming. "One-four-three? What the...." "Oh, I will tell you! It means I love you!" "Umm...okay. (Pause a minute) But couldn't it as well be I hate you? " . . . And he was dumbfounded. I really don't understand these complexities....

OMG! That was funny as all get out, YOU! I am curious what your friend did/said when you told him that? Did he actually ASK the young lady which word the 4 referred to? I am a little bit surprised he didn't get upset with you for ruining his jubilation, though!
