Last week i came across a conversation between two of my Facebook friends. It was something like this.. A -Where exactly do you live? B-I now live in Jaynagar, u? A-I have been living in Jayanagar since ... my house is close to State Bank. B-Really, I have an account in that bank after some more discussion about why that particular bank is good... A - Do you come to use the ATM, never seen you around B - I do come ...i am a great one for forgetting the pin .. A - Is that so, I always have it in my wallet just in case i get confused . I am not joking, but this actually happened. Don't they realise that they are taking a risk and how dangerous it is to share such personal information ? What do you all think ?

@kiran8 Yeah they should do it personally over the phone or something. Not online where everyone can read it.

I think it's incredibly dangerous to discuss things like that on Facebook! There's someone I know (not by choice) who was asking for pain meds on fb!! I was thinking to myself, does she think there are no police officers or their families on fb?!? She could get arrested!

I would never discover online where I live and giving personal information can be very dangerous. This one who said she keeps the PIN in her wallet is really a BIG NO!

@kiran8 Some people had their identities stolen, this is why it is very dangerous also to post too many personal photos.

Such people dont learn..I can quote several such conversations where they reveal all their travel plans with picture as it is happening etc ..If by chance someone has any bad intentions , then it is so easy t track them.

Depends on the situation, but if that is out in the open on a person's Facebook wall that is not the Best thing to do.

Indeed it is so dangerous to talk of such personal information in social media. I will not take the risk of doing that. These people should know more lest they end up regretting.

Of course what we discuss here is not dangerous information . It is more like sharing your personal experiences which is fine ..

Some are naive and easy targets. There are many who fall for "you are selected to win a big prize" only to pay a heavy price soon after for their folly. We have to be aware that real world can be cruel - siva
