If symptoms persist, just pour in hot water.

My son has his usual household chore to wash the dishes. When we have a dish that is oily, and my sister puts the dish in a plastic container, it is expected that the plastic container will be oily, and no amount of dishwashing liquid, paste, or detergent can remove the grease off the plastic. My son would clean the container thoroughly so the grease goes.
I would tell him too, to smell it, because the odor of the oil remains. But my son gave up; he was also supposed to give the dogs their food that I prepare, in the veranda. I give the 3 dogs in the kitchen, the 4 puppies in the dining part of the house, and the other 6 in the veranda. So when he brought out the food of the 6 dogs and the 4 puppies, while I gave the 3 dogs I the kitchen, I checked on the plastic container and it still was greasy and it smelt oily as well.
My last resort was I poured hot water in to the plastic container. It was from the thermos. The hot water stayed until it turned lukewarm. After that, I cleaned it with the dishwashing paste and the smell and grease was gone.
I challenge myself that the grease goes with the dishwashing paste; but not that time. Pouring hot water will make the work easier and quicker.
Do you do that too?

I do this as well.
Just mentioned in another post that I do not like washing the dishes. This trick certainly makes the chore easier.

Cool idea. I use Joy dishwashing liquid. When the oil is stubborn, I boil water and pour it to the cookware/kitchen .

That reminds me, I have some Muriatic Acid in the drawer and been using it in the toilet. But never thought of using it in the kitchen sink, this might be the right time to use it. Nothing wrong with warm water though.

Glad you found a way to get rid of the grease. That is a lot of dogs and puppies - how do you manage?
