Not the one you might be thinking, either.
This is the one by Rodgers and Hammerstein. Julie Andrews starred in the movie in the 1950s before she was well known. It is also a stage musical, and my high school will be putting it on in November!
I'm accompanying the first act on piano. Another pianist does the second and third acts (they are about as long put together as the first act.)
And I just succeeded for the first time today playing all the way through Act 1 without having to stop and figure out notes. I still have a long way to go to get those 80 pages under my fingers, but it's coming!
Have you had a victory today?

I'm not sure our music director (she) will be conducting. We will only have three string players and myself. I will mostly need to pay attention to the soloists.

Getting up and getting stuff done is always a victory for me. I do remember that Cinderella, school musicals are a lot of work but are always fun.

I will be spending many hours in rehearsal, but when I want to complain I always ask myself "What would you rather be doing, this fun thing which takes energy or sitting at home?" Answer: I'd rather be rehearsing.

Unfortunately, because of copyright laws, we can't put our performance on youtube.

to me even making breakfast without spilling ingrediants or breaking crockery feels like a little victory - the show sounds lovely - good luck
