Back home! My appointment with the oncologist.

I reached the hospital very much famished. But I needed those blood tests to take to my oncologist. She told me that she would see me in a year. she liked me as a whole, but my uric acid and cholesterol level were a bit high. So, besides a pill (Allopurinol) se told me to skip a lot of yummy things to eat. I hadn´t realized but I have been 6 years entering and departing from the hospital. That is a lot of my present life. And even if I am glad that I´m fine, it has taken its toll. I will now have to work on my energy and in shedding some pounds. I don´t eat so much, but I am living a very sedentary life. Still, if I add everything, it all went very well.

I´m thinking about getting a puppy. If I do, I would be impelled to take it for a walk however short.

Maybe take morning walks out, or get some exercise DVDs. Actually I think there are some basic ones like yoga and exercises that don't require equipment on Netflix

I don´t like yoga and neither do my knees. My body is a lot older than my 72 years of age

I'm glad that things went well on the whole. I'm a few pounds overweight too, but I'm not too bothered.

I want to lose some pounds because I think them might help my knees and my stomach pain.

It's good that you are still healthy. I am trying to lose about 5 kilos right now because of a couple of things that came up over the past few months. So far I lost 2 and it makes a huge difference to how I feel already! I have been drinking water and not sweet milk tea, and eating a little less, and walking or biking every day. That's all. Good luck with shedding some pounds.

I don´t drink sodas, tea or coffee with sugar. But the walking part is what I need.

The problem is that when I was in chemo, I had no energy. So I learned to live a very sedentary life

Become more active and maybe do some walking which will help shed those unwanted pounds.
