Today since we were free in the morning , some of us decided to walk down to a small village close to our school. There are very few houses since the majority of the people are farmers living within their farmlands. We visited the small village temple where we were offered tender coconut water by the priest who was getting the coconuts plucked . It was quiet and peaceful , surrounded by fields, trees .. I have posted a couple of pictures I took of the temple and the village road which was almost totally free if traffic except for a Bullock cart .

@Nawsheen It was a perfect place and the weather too was perfect. We sat under the trees for a while but were scared when we saw a tree snake

@kiran8 The area of temple must be neat and clean. People do take care of the cleanliness.

@Sreekala Yes it is very neatly maintained with flower plants and coconut trees around it. The temple priest and his family live in an out house right there and take good care of the entire premises.

There is a more congested part too but because there are not many people living there even that part was quite clean.

I too like going to rural areas . Last year we visited a village where almost all the villagers were potters . They had such lovely pottery at throw away prices . We bought as many as we could carry

True, it is only when you visit a rural area that you realise what you are missing in the cities.

Tender coconut water straight from the tree is the best thirst quencher on a hot summer's day
