Elated on trying in an Online writing contest

I was planning to enter a writing contest which had an end date of July 30(today). For some or the other reason, I could not submit for almost the whole of July.
Finally, I took some time yesterday, and began writing the story. I did in 3 breaks, and the final word count was around 2600(and meaningful ones)!
I was astonished to see that I can write so much in a day.
The min limit was 1500 and max was between 2500 and 3000.
Now, whether I will make it to the winners remain to be seen, but I fel quite elated.
I will try in other upcoming rounds too.
By the way, the next author who will give the challenge is - well guess - Its Jeffrey Archer

@LadyDuck Yes its tough but exciting too. Yet I would have loved if they used to send a feedback of what we have written, irrespective of whether it passes their criteria or not.

@LadyDuck In that respect writing sites are at times better - but many have closed or are due to close.

@vandana7 I had to create a short story of minimum 1500 words and a max of 3000 words and the story ought to have the unaltered passage within the story. Sounds convenient and easy, but quite tough to do so.

@vandana7 Yeah I hope so. No news so far, but there are more rounds in coming months, and will try more.
