Are all hospitals outsourcing services like Peacehealth has?

I have an appointment for my annual checkup at the end of the month. I received notification that I should go the the hospital lab to have blood drawn for various tests the doctor wants, so all pretty much routine.
But, when I walked into the clinic area of this vast hospital, the sign where their lab used to be read "Quest Diagnostics." Maybe they moved the lab, I thought, but no, they just sold off the lab work to another entity.
Emergency room doctors in many hospitals work for physician groups not affiliated with the hospital.
Maybe it is my age and that I just like a top to bottom line of responsibility in medical care, but this trend is moving hospitals int landlord status, sort of renting out space to physician groups and staffing companies.
Have you seen evidence of this outsourcing at hospitals in your area?
Oh, the good news is that I could see my test results online this morning. They look alright (I think).

around here it's not so much outsourcing per se,it's doctors getting fed up with the hospital system and forming their own collectives.sometimes they're the only people in town who perform a certain branch of medical,so the hospital has to send you there..

PeaceHealth built this huge multi-level hospital just a few years back. It is quite beautiful, but the emergency room has a bad reputation for long waits.

It is great that all your test results are normal.Over here outsourcing hospital work is banned.

I've not seen this myself, but it doesn't surprise me at all these days.

It's getting rather crazy. I haven't heard of any of this going on here. All blood work and such is done in house at the doctor's office where I go for my check ups each year. Mine will be mid month.
