Bob Marley turns up on a French beach

One of our stops in France while travelling in our motor-home was at the Le Gurp Municipal Camping site in Gironde. Municipal sites are usually small and relatively cheap but there are 1000 sites here and it must be a great little earner for the local authority.
It faces the Atlantic Ocean and when we walked down to the beach we were surprised to see old wartime bunkers along the coast. None seemed to be up the right way but there was some fantastic paintings on them.
Apparently there are many bunkers and other wartime structures along the coast in the area. Coming from Australia it came as a bit of a shock to see these.

The only wartime bunker I saw in France were those at Normandy.

@JudyEv I have not been regular in visiting mylot these days.I see that this is your discussion no 899.The paintings give those bunkers a new look for sure.

I've just posted another and that is 900! Thanks for letting me know. I knew I was getting close but didn't realise I was quite so close - or that I'd reached 900.

At least they painted something on those bunkers to make it look attractive.
