Ally is a smart girl

Ally is choosing where to cross that "lake" in her yard

When it rains around here it creates small puddles, well maybe a little bigger than small, at any rate Ally tends to be somewhat of a prisspot and likes to tiptoe around puddles the rain creates. In this shot you can tell she's looking for the ideal place to cross. Just so you know, Ally weighs over 50 pounds.

She does seem smaller than that in the photos, she's long legged which is probably why. Glad you like the shot.

She finally found a spot where she could see that there were no goathead sticker plants @Hannihar she hates getting those in her feet, I do not blame her, those thing hurt.

Ally looks great for weighing over fifty pounds. Not too thin or too fat! Doodles is a bit of a prisspot when it comes to puddles, too.

Well, true, but none of my other dogs had problems with puddles. Maybe that's not as smart as checking out the puddle before running through it

You're right @HazySue it's possible she needs to make sure there aren't any goat head sticker plants, she always avoids them if she sees them.

@rebelann My Sammy didn't like walking in water. It does sound like a good idea to avoid them. You never know what is hidden there.
