It won't be long now

I have changed beds and bedrooms a lot in the last month. I am making up beds for company this week. While I am making the beds if I have a heated mattress pad for each bed, I am putting it on the bed.
They will not need it this visit, but it won't be long now until we will be using them to save on the heat of heating the entire house.
Soon we will have bare trees. It will be time to eat hot foods and drink warm drinks and heat our bed so it is nice and warm.

@GardenGerty It has here, too. Well, it's been rather cool. We had a tremendous thunderstorm this afternoon which cooled it down even more. It's supposed to warm back up into the 80s and 90s next week. The good thing about the weather now is that even if it gets hot, it cools down at night and the nights are getting longer.

Normally August is very hot, and so is September. The weather has been quite moderate both last week and this week.

Bite your tongue! It's still summer, even if a bit cool.
I like a cool bedroom, with a nice duvet to keep me warm.

That is the best and coziest way to sleep. We are having temperatures in the low 60's F. overnight.

Does it cool down well at night? I seldom turn on heat for the house until October.

That is the point, our weather is being very weird right now. It is cool, sixties overnight. I am going to enjoy my soup for lunch before I go to work.

@GardenGerty Last week we reached 102 F, today it is not even 65 F, but I usually do not eat soups or stews until we are under 50.

With all the moving and everything else, cooler weather would be less stressful.

I have never heard of heated mattress pads, just electric blankets.

Several years ago a nurse we worked with recommended it. It is good for people who have a lot of arthritis pain, I guess. We have gotten them at Wal Mart and JC Penneys. I never cared for electric blankets but I like the heat under me.

Already having falling and desidous leaves of Autumn? Our summers here often extend up to middle through end of autumn. Is that the front of your house and property? I love your country home atmosphere.

The picture is taken at a nearby lake. We are not that far into the season yet. I am seeing some color in the trees. Some turn scarlet and others golden.
