So I'm new to this site and looking for some tips and pointers from users that have been using this site for a while.
Some of the things I would like to know are:
1. What have you found makes you successful?
2. What kinda of discussions to people like to read?
3. How often do you post and comment?

Read the guidelines and interact a lot.
Everyone is different so they enjoy reading different things. I write about personal things and everyone seems to like my discussions. =)
This is where you will find out what kinds of behavior are accepted and unaccepted on myLot. When in doubt, remember the Golden Rule!

Hello and Welcome to myLot.
Success comes with following the guidelines.
People here love all kinds of interesting discussions. Take a look around and you will see how many responses different discussions are getting. If a discussion can get responses, then its a good one.
I am here quite a bit and do respond to others discussions a lot.
I respond to discussions more than I make discussions of my own.

@PaigeMay And you will see that some of the discussions have a good number of responses..responses are important. Of course if it is a good discussion, it gets people talking. It could be anything.

@PaigeMay I see you are catching on quickly, you are very responsive Paige. Also it is good when someone responds to your discussion, I suggest you respond to one of theirs..it is not a necessity but it creates goodwill.

Hi Paige and welcome aboard. Most of us just write what we want to. It may be about family, pets, outings, things like that. Then there are some that like to write something that really gets one to thinking. No matter what is written it is fun to read them. So jump in and get to know people here. Everyone is great!

Thanks for the advice! I've noticed that every topic can be so different. It's interesting to read other people's posts and interact. It's also great to hear other people's opinions on topics. I think I'll have a long stay on this site.

Welcome to myLot. We call the posts "discussions", because the earning system here is made upon how much we interact. You can post nothing and still earn if you visit the others and you leave interesting comments. As a general rule, do not post many discussions one after the other, wait at least one hour after you posted before posting a new one. Other rule, always reply to the comments left to your posts. People do not like to be ignored here.

It is hard to know what people like to read. Everyone posts different amounts/times a day. I never do more than two. The goal here is interaction.

I don't post discussions every day and when I do it is usually one discussion. I can't say I am successful here but I did reach the $5 once and am halfway to the next one.
It's hard to say what people like to read. Sometimes I may post something that I think others will find interesting and hardly any responses.

Very good questions. I will answer your 3rd question. I post as much as I can. It depends on how much time I have. I try to post in the morning and then sometimes in the afternoon and can do it Sunday, most of the times not Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
