Glen Campbell's last song

This was the last song that Glen Campbelll wrote. It was written after he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2011 and shows a frightening realisation of what lay ahead of him.
Alzheimer's is a frightening disease. I've known people who died after years of suffering and towards the end they couldn't even recognise their nearest and dearest. They lost their ability to communicate or to do anything else for themselves.
In the end it wasn't they who suffered as much as their loved ones, watching the slow decline of someone who wasn't really there any more.

@TiarasOceanView I first heard the song a couple of years ago but had forgotten about it until a friend shared it on Facebook. His attitude in that song was remarkably positive for someone who had received such a horrible diagnosis.

Great musician played with "The Wrecking Crew" a group of session pros who played on many great artists records including Elvis, Merle Haggard, The Byrds, and The Righteous Brothers. In addition, he toured with The Beach Boys when Brain had a breakdown and could not perform. Fabulous guitarist with a beautiful tenor voice. So many 60's and 70's hits. A legend gone too soon...
