Busy Summer

Hello everyone! I hope everyone has enjoyed the summer months. Our house has been extremely busy. It is exhausting keeping 3 kids entertained and out of trouble with so much free time. Summer break is winding dkids, schoolown and they will be headed back to school on the 28th. I will have more time to visit mylot after that.

My summer has been iffy, I will leave it at that..not what I thought it would be lets say.

We 2are tight on funds due to hubby being laid off. We did manage to go to the beach for a few days.

I am so sorry your hubby was laid off. I hope he gets to go back to work soon. Even a few days is way better than nothing.

@rebelann the twins will be in kindergarten this year. They are going to separate them and put them in different classes. Adam likes school but Elijah does not like it at all. I am wondering how Elijah will handle being separated from Adam. I am sure that Adam will be fine.

@bunnybon7 I hate to hear that your breathing is harder. I know here in NC we have hot and humid summers that really do a number on the twins asthma. I keep them out of the extreme heat as much as possible.

@LadyDuck those heat waves can throw everyone off their game. It was hot at the first of the week here but it rained last night and is cooling down for the weekend but will be hot again come Monday. Lil Keith is looking forward to going back to school.

Our summer could have had more fun things so I'm thinking of planning well in advance for next summer. :) We still have a few weeks before the kids go back to school so we are going to cram as much fun in as we can!!

I have found that it is best to try and plan before hand. This is especially true for us if we are trying to go somewhere away from home. I really would like to take the kids camping next year.

My paternal grandmother had 16 kids. Although not all 16 were at home at one time I have often wondered how she could stand the summer months with that many children. If course, some summers my late grandfather would take the older ones to California to pick potatoes for the summer to earn money for the family.

I have a little time to pop in at mylot now that my daughter is back at school. Next week when I have to start doing cyber school with my son I will have less time to be here again. I usually have more time to be here during the school year though then the summer as we are always off doing things in the summer.
