Quiet Day At the Bay

As I promised myself yesterday, I got out of the apartment for a couple hours. First, I looked at possible events taking place, and yes, found an exciting one, but had to rethink it because of my mobility problems. I can't stand for an excessive amount of time, or do a lot of walking - yet. I will get that taken care of with the weight I'm going to lose. So next year I'll go to the Brown County Fair going on until tomorrow. However, I did go to my favorite park, as seen in one of the many pictures I took while I was there. It was a perfect day to watch whatever activity was going on on the bay. Sailboats were out, and a fishing boat too. I even got a picture of a parasailer, I think that's what they're called. If not please tell me so I can correct it. The sun is out and the breezes made it a beautiful place to sit. The park was full, as it happened. There were plenty of parking spaces when I got there, but several other people had the same idea I did. Including a woman with her dog, which I tried to get a picture of, but he wasn't having any of it. I got some reading done while I was there as well, and just enjoyed a day in the sun. Soaking up some Vitamin D. But I wasn't thinking about that as I enjoyed talking to a couple who lived about an hour west of Green Bay. Newly retired and enjoying a trip here and looking to see what else Green Bay has to offer. It's amazing what a day out of the apartment will do. I'm feeling so much better than I have for days. The boredom has lifted, and just maybe I can put away the On Vacation sign on my brain and get some work done on a book as well. I hope your day has gone well.
