Yesterday we reached the end of phase one of the bowling green board's replacements and were told we can have the day off. There are only eight full-time hands on workers doing this manual labour, but slowly we have gotten the job done. I am pleased with how it looks and tomorrow we start wheelbarrowing the topsoil with the fertilizers onto the Greens to await some water and the sunshine for growth. So I have the Day off - first I decided to catch up with all of the wonderful friends that left their calling cards while I have been busy - "Baie dankie" is Thank You in Afrikaans and if you want to say it correctly then this is what you do - just say "Buy a Donkey" and you have easily said your first Afrikaans word. I have some home chores to catch-up and then Game of Thrones episodes to watch before I get too far behind. With coffee in hand, sunshine breaking through the cool morning of 19*C, I bid you all a VERY GOOD MORNING. Happy Wednesday - and peace be with you wherever you are. My love and thoughts are with all those that were affected by the tragedy in Barcelona on the 17th August. To think I have walked the Las Ramblas many a time - very sad. Photo is from my visits.

I have also walked Las Ramblas many times, Barcelona is a city that I love, I am so sorry for what happened, that poor 3 year old kid, what did he do wrong to be at the wrong place at the wrong moment? There is something wrong in this world.

@Inlemay I agree, all in the name of religion, that is surely an excuse.
