Generosity Day!

My Wednesday went so well but it was a very long day. I got home at 10:30pm already and that's not usual for me. But I came home happy and not exhausted at all!
My business partner gave me this Ionic Ageloc device and an Alada soap. I'm not into whitening soaps as I have no intention to alter the color of my skin at all. Proud to be tanned! But she insisted because she swears by the soap and how effective it is in getting rid of hormonal pimples (I do get pimples when my period is about to come).
We also met our Chinese Filipino family friend who came her for a four-day vacation. He gave me this Atom Nano speaker and told me that the sound quality is awesome and he added it's not from China. 
So yesterday was a generosity day and I was just happy receiving all these things for free! Thank God for generous friends!

I'm using Organic Grape seed facial wash. Some people claim it has the benefit of whitening too but I didn't see that at all in my case. I just feel that it's not drying on the skin. I actually don't like using soap bar for my face as I think nit makes my skin dry even though I have oily skin.
This Alada soap price ranges from $7-$11. Almost the same price from the facial wash I'm using.

@LadyDuck I use serums and gel type of moisturizers because of my oily skin and they cost around $25-30.

we should accept our skin color and not alter it because it is natural. i also tell some of my students who have the natural color of a Pinay not to use any whitening soap, and be thankful because we do not need to get tanned unlike some Europeans who stay under the sun all day to achieve the tan they wish to have.

Filipinos always look up to others who have fairer skin. I think we still have that Spanish mentality that when you have dark skin you're from a poor family and ugly.
But I have learned to love and embrace my skin color.

@toniganzon i believe there are some people who resort too to body shaming. and seeing one having dark skin, will be 'mocked' by others who are fairer.
when i see somebody wearing long sleeves, i always presume this person uses whitening soap, and more often than not, i am right.
When I and my sister went to church yesterday morning, I was in tee shirt and denim pants. The tee shirt was a bit loose (it does not show my abdominal bulge...

He was referring to the quality of the sound. There are a lot of speakers similar to that one being sold in the market here at a very cheap price. But the quality is far from the one he has given me. So 'the not from China' statement actually refers to the speakers being sold in the market here.
