Ahhhhh, late August already and soon many will be fighting the flu

Ally had just lost the race with the wabbit, it still roams free LOL

I had to use this shot of Ally. A few minutes before I got this shot she was chasing that damn wabbit and as usual it won. Oh well, at least she had fun. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It's that time again folks, school will or already has started and soon many will be battling the flu or some other kind of cold. What I worry most about is tuberculosis. Many of the migrants we get here, both legal and illegal, come from countries that still has problems with this terrible disease which hopefully most of us will never have to face. But when I looked up what the symptoms were I was shocked. The good news is that it can be prevented even if you are around someone who has it but still, do you have any idea what you should look for in case you have it? I've added a link in case, like me, you had no idea.
Did you know you could have tuberculosis (TB) and not know it? Learn the symptoms that let you know you have this serious – but treatable – condition.

Pretty girl. Is that alkali soil? North of us I've seen dirt like that.

Thank you. Yes, it's very alkali, I always have to wear gloves so my hands don't get too dried out.

I'm not sure you have the same kind of climate @sallypup usually it's very dry and hot from about April to September but this year is really different.

I had never thought about migrants not receiving TB shots. The doctor just adjusted the kids prescription for their inhalers. They have more problems with their allergies in the fall.

@rebelann No, I have never thought of that for just every day use. I might give it a try when the fall weeds begin to bud.

Maybe the legal migrants do but the illegal ones don't because no one knows they're here and lots of those illegals are from places like Nicaragua and such.

I sure do hope the twins will outgrow their allergies. Have you ever thought of getting them some of those surgical masks? I use them when it's windy because of the sand.

I am caught up on my shots. Tuberculosis would be terrible to catch. I wish there was a way everyone could get a shot for it.

I've been vaccinated in the past but anymore I'm usually home alone with the furmily so I'm most likely safe from that disease.

As long as no one infected with it is in a crowded place @velvet53 but it's hard to tell if one has it or not.

Thanks for the link. Since I gave up teaching, I rarely get sick. The flu shot has kept me from the flu since the early 90s. Precious shot of Ally!

The last time I got a flu shot I was sick for almost a month and I won't get another one. I've been pretty much healthy since I retired.

TB would be awful to ge4t. It is a good idea to know the symptoms. Abby, I am sure, gave that wraskily wabbit a run for it's money.

Yes it would be awful. Actually the wabbit gave Ally a really good run for the money and won.
