As I wrote before, my brother in law gave us a scare after not waking up until two days after surgery. He awoke the third day believing he had just come from surgery and was ready to go home. But he had a light stroke during surgery and doctors wouldn't release him at that time. He called my sister that night insisting she come pick him up,Otherwise he was calling a taxi.
As luck would have it my sister was able to contact a nurse before he called a taxi. The nurse managed to settle him down for the night. After testing the next day they let him go home. It was a very light stroke and only shows a little on his left side. He will start therapy after he heals from surgery. He's a very determined guy and my sister watches him like a hawk.
She caught him yesterday morning walking out the drive and up a hill to pick up the paper. She ran out to get him and walk him back to the house. She said next he'd get out his tools and start to work on something. He isn't supposed to do anything until he sees his doctor. I don't envy my sister. She has her hands full with this guy.

@Courtlynn I think she can. She's a tough cookie.

My husband is as stunborn. Said he isn't a wimp. Well, after surgery you can move about, but no bending, twisting, or lifting.

She will be busy keeping an eye on him. Glad the stroke was only a mild one.

Hope he gets well soon. I. The meanwhile, sure she will be very very busy!! But in the end, the good thing about it is, from my point of view, that his recovering should be faster, as I was told people with that desire of doing g things, active people, recover sooner!

I am glad that your sister watches him so closely. Sounds as if he can be a loose cannon and might mess up any good progress.

He is great to keep going but yes, he should wait til he sees the doc.
This is good news though Ruby, thanks for the update.
He is a great guy!

Yes but his spirit will get him up and back to better health. Got to love that. I wish him and your sister good days.
