Time to break the fast

Yep, I haven't eaten since yesterday evening so now I'm about to have some smoked salmon. Love that stuff.
This morning I pulled a lotta weeds and in this shot you can see my next project. If it doesn't get too hot this after noon I'll be able to pull most of these out too.
But first, I gotta eat.
Whatcha gonna do today?
I'll bet plenty of ya are going to party after work, right?

I've never had smoked salmon and generally avoid salmon because it's too "fishy" tasting for me. Does smoking remove some of the fishy flavor?
That looks like a formidable task!! But if it's not too hot I'm sure it will be enjoyable. I always loved working in a garden and if we had some decent dirt here in Phoenix I would be out there weeding, too! One thing I learned here is the value of weed cloth! When I moved back to the Midwest for a few years I took some weed cloth and had very few weeds in my garden. I hear newspaper works well, too, and also is good for the soil.

I love fish and I love salmon any way I can get it, especially as sashimi. I haven't a clue if smoked salmon tastes any better than fresh.
It's similar to Phoenix here but this past summer has been a lot wetter than usual so what happens is the weeds grow like crazy. It looks bad but I'll fligure out how to get rid of most of them and yeah, I use cardboard to cover a lot of them, that way they die.
I have a half acre of these so I'll be really busy for a while.
And we're supposed to get more rain..................

I'm revving up my energy to go out and tackle that. The biggest problem are those carpenter ants, yesterday one bit me on the top of my foot which really hurt for quite a while.

It was. I got over half the weeds pulled in a 20'x100' area. Not bad for an old woman

I had to get some sleep and in the mornings I break that fast. I do not do a religious fast.
