This past Saturday I started a diet. Of course it is way to early to tell how it is going to work for me. So far I am doing ok, meaning I haven't cheated. I actually am determined not to cheat. This diet is very definite about the foods you can not eat which helps someone like me. I am a list person and they definitely have a do not eat list. I am finding that I am already missing a couple of my dairy products, they are absolutely not allowed. I am missing the cream in my coffee and cheese. Because of the lack of cream I am finding that I am drinking less coffee. I guess you could call it a win, win situation. Drinking less coffee I believe is better for me. I love that I can eat meat, I am a definite meat eater. I also like that this diet says that the cravings you have in the beginning go away. I am definitely looking forward to that. All in all I am finding that this diet is a good one for me. Actually, it is probably the best one I could go on. Thank you @just4him for writing about it.

That's good that you have found a diet you believe you can stick with. Good luck with it.

I'm glad it's working for you. I'm into the last week now of the thirty days and so far I haven't really missed anything other than potatoes and cheese. I also don't have any cravings, so that is a good thing about this diet. FYI - there's a 4 in my username.

@HazySue It's not on the list, so it's not on my menu. It would be nice if they were allowed. Oh well, I've lived this long without them. I can do it a little longer. I can always go back to my potatoes when I reach my goal weight. Cheese too. On one of the recipes I saw there were Yukon Gold potatoes. I intend to find out more about those.

@just4him I would do the same thing. I have not included white potatoes in my list of good things because so many othe4r sources say no.

So I have noticed sorry about that. The old memory isn't what it used to be. I read somewhere that in 2014 they decided to allow white potatoes . I could be wrong.

Hoping you continue to do well with your plan @HazySue Because we don't use dairy, we use almond and cashew milk (and make cheese with these nuts too). We eliminated coffee years back for many reasons, but those nut milks might work for you.

You're doing Whole30, aren't you? I missed cream and sweetener in my coffee so badly. There's an almond milk creamer that is technically compliant, and it helped a lot. The cashew milk suggestion is also good.

I'm glad it is working for you and your doing okay with it. I could never do no dairy since that's my favorite thing to eat/drink but I wish you so much luck!
