It Was a Talk Session

So I went in expecting to be there overnight and it turned out to be a talk session to find out if a sleep study would be necessary. After asking every conceivable question, and checking my breathing and heart, it was determined that I don't need a sleep study at this time. To be cautious, however, they are sending a finger device to check my oxygen levels while I sleep. If that shows anything serious, I'll know. I will say that the doctor was mighty fine looking. When they took my weight I did not look at the scale, but he was encouraging as he was talking to me and I had also explained fully about this Whole30 diet and what I'm not eating, he said to keep up what I'm doing to lose weight. So I'm guessing from what he said, that I have lost a decent amount and now I'm more eager than ever to see those results next week. So I'm home and I don't need to worry about missing the Packers game tonight on home field against the LA Rams. I have it set on DVR anyway, just in case I would have missed it. I'm more than encouraged that I don't have a sleeping problem. Especially since the headaches and fatigue have basically disappeared with the diet. It's good to know, and I praise God for the great outcome today. So now I'm home and I'm going to finish working on the swimsuit for the gal at the pool, and check out the notifications since I left. I don't know if I'm going to get any writing done as I need to get that swimsuit finished. How was your day? Thanks for reading.

Glad that you don't "seem" to have a sleep problem. I hate going for those overnights. Too busy for me today and it will be again tomorrow.

Another rainy day on the islands. Can't go out and can't do much. But you can go shopping and have fun looking around. That is what I did with my girlfriend today. We went shopping to stock up on a few things needed in our homes. I am so happy your doctor's appointment went so well. Now you sound really excited to step on the scales next week. I know you will have a pleasant surprise when you do.

Yes, I expect I will. Then I'm going to add to my menu options, and I found out today by going to the Whole30 site that the grocery list I had was only a partial list. Potatoes are back on my menu.

I'm so happy I don't. He was very upbeat about it. So I expect the finger device will also show no problems with my oxygen levels. Yes, I'm excited to see the game tonight and not miss it.

Glad to hear you don't have the sleep issue. I did the oxygen test too. My heart is great, it's the rest that is falling apart. Good luck continuing your weight loss.

I bet that felt freeing! Not brushing your hair that is. Boring can be the most fun day of all when life is otherwise hectic. I don't consider cleaning house fun though. I know some people do.

It's good that you don't need a cpap . my better half uses one but I don't believe I could sleep a wink with one of those things. Good that your doctor approved your diet. Are you making someone a swimsuit?

I was repairing it for her. She had both side seams split and the cups also needed some work on them. I got it back to her today. It's good he has it, but sorry he needs it.

@RubyHawk This was my first time sewing in years. I think I'm good with it. I did all the sewing by hand. It didn't require a sewing machine.

Can you make/sew swimsuit? The material for that type, is above me. I don't know how to deal with it.

I've never done it before. I repaired this one and the stretchy material was different. I don't know if I would do it again, though it was a good challenge. If I were to make one, I would do it by sewing machine instead of by hand, but being a repair job, the only way to do it was by hand.

@YrNemo Yes you do. It's because of the stretchy fabric.

@just4him I tried once, in my teens. Failed badly. Later I talked to some experts, they told me that we need a special needle and perhaps foot too.

Yes, both the nurse and the doctor said it was probably a gluten problem I was having since the headaches have disappeared along with the weight. I have a feeling I won't be on the BP/water pill much longer. All the swelling is gone, and my legs are becoming shapely. They're not completely there yet, but the fact that the swelling is gone on my legs and ankles is a huge plus.
