Hey everyone, hope your doing well. I was busy folding laundry earlier and I was going to get to the kitchen mess after that. As I was folding my oldest daughter came in and said mommy come look at this. I went in the kitchen with her and it was a wonderful sight to see it was spotless! Her and her brother cleaned the counters, swept the floor, wiped the table down, got rid of the garbage bag, and wiped the stove down. It makes my heart melt and feel so proud when my kids do something so sweet like this. The kitchen is now one less thing I have to clean today! Have you had a proud moment today?

@LovingMyBabies And you are right, you are doing something for them, something more than just "right", something from love. You are helping them to become honorable citizens, that's quite an accomplishment.

Awww, they are such kind-hearted children, and growing up to recognize that doing this work will help you so much. I remember when our son used to do little chores without being asked when he was younger, or when he'd bring home a coffee from the drive-thru on his way home from work so that he and I could sit up and gab together when he was in high school. You just don't forget those times.

My neighbor's kid obeyed me...ha ha...he is five and a half...and you of all people would know how difficult it is to tell them not to watch comic serials. He has glasses, and I have seen tears well up in his mom's eyes the day she realized he is going to wear such thick glasses. I am always torn between letting him watch and asking him to go home. Normally, he does not obey me. But today I told him, kiddo you have watched for an hour, time you went home. He meekly left.

@vandana7 That's good that he listened to you, children should obey their elders but some are better at it than others.

How sweet and how wonderful. You are a lucky mother to have such fantastic children. I no longer have surprises in my life because my daughter is all grown up and has a family of her own. But if I look back on Tuesday my best friend and her sister came to my house for the day. They wanted to thank me for all I do for them all the tims so they cleaned my house from top to bottom. I have a wood, rock, and bamboo home so I have plenty of spiders who live in my home. I clean today and they are back tomorrow. They got rid of all my spiders. How sweet of them.

@LovingMyBabies She is my best friend here on the islands. We are close and do so many things together. She is a super person and when she needs me, I am there and the same goes for her. I don't have any family here close to me so my BF family and friends mean so much to me here. It makes life so much fun and enjoyable.

@fishtiger58 Thanks. I'm glad your kids are doing well. =) Things have been better for us but they also been worse too. So, we had to move out of our home since the landlord is selling the place. Right now we're in a small apartment, waiting for a home. Hopefully soon we will be in a house and settled again. It's tough right now but it will get better.

What a great thing for them to do for you! I'm always proud of Anne's industrious work on her quilts and she is now working on a quilt square to go to the Lion's Club in Boise to commemorate her deceased bro in law's cornea donation for someone to see again.
