2013 – Marvel Movies. - Spoiler alerts
A rather disappointing sequel to the first Thor, and subsequent Avengers Assemble movie.
The plot involves a standard fantasy collision of worlds (nine of them in this case), with an evil elven race escaping from a ark realm to leap around the multiverse through Time Bandits / Sliders style portals. London just happens to be one portal location. Their leader, played by a barely recognizable Christopher Ecclestone, has escaped from a Phantom Zone style prison vortex to wreak havoc.
Thor’s girlfriend, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) gets infected by deadly elven magical poison, so Thor (Chris Hemworth) defies daddy Odin’s wishes and goes after the bad guys assisted by his trickster brother Loki, who cannot be trusted, but apart from lots of sparring banter with Thor, largely does behave himself. The dialogue between the two leads is all that saves this movie from total collapse.
The battle rages confusingly from portal to portal, over several SFX world-scapes.
The finale, after Loki appears dead, shows Loki pretending to be Odin, setting up for the next episode in the franchise (Thor Ragnorak). Playing too much on Loki making everything a big illusion is getting really old really fast. This was fantasy movie making by numbers.

It's more like an infinity stone in liquid form, so much power it could poison a mortal. Well, I guess your right it's magical poison

I love the Thor movies and enjoyed the comic books when I was a child.

I agree. I like the first Thor and this just laid there. Probably why there has been no Thor 3.

Dark World was one of my favorites. It might have been confusing for some but I found it entertaining and funny at times, but to be fair I also laughed through a lot of the Indiana Jones movies.
