One of my scary paintings!

The mesmerizer
United States
September 3, 2017 8:00pm CST
Here is one of the paintings I did this year, I appologize ahead because my phone doesn't take very good pictures. I love to paint monsters and creatures, to me it is the ultimate release of any negativity I am feeling in my life. It helps cleanse the emotions and keep me positive. Here is an oil painting I've done on canvas that I've titled "the mesmerizer". Enjoy! -Mr. Anomaly

I say that is a chipper fellow isn´t it? He is ready to strike at a moment´s notice and is presently hypnotizing people. Thats really great that it helps you to release the negative.

Oh my!!! It's lovely!!! Well, you're talented. I wish my emotions could turn into something that beautiful. Now that I look deeper, the mesmerizer is licking his nostrils, eww. It's still beautiful though.

@Mr_Anomaly I don't pain or draw, I'm not good at it and have no interest to learn at my age.

@fishtiger58 if you ever are interested, there is no time like the present. I see an increase of people that self-discourage themselves because they don't feel they will ever improve or they don't visualize themselves as ever being good at one particular thing or another. But in the art world, there really is no good or bad, it is so subjective that you can create anything, and somebody in this world of 8 billion people would love it It also gives you a feeling of infinite freedom, as even if you draw a scribble, other peoples opinions of that scribble do not matter, because that scribble is art. Hope that makes sense, and I wish you a wonderful night -Mr. Anomaly

No need to fear! It's simply a painting on canvas that will not harm you Just like scary movies, the movies themselves won't harm you. They are harmless

That's incredible! His eyes do have an oddly mesmerizing effect to them. It's slightly unnerving too, which is a good thing! What do you do with your artwork? Like, do you display them somewhere in galleries or such?

Hi, Julian! I do a little bit of everything! I've done mural work for businesses, been in newspapers a couple of times, did commissions for some people, and right now, I'm working on building up more of a fan base in social networking. I had a business page on facebook that I've recently been forced to abandon, the page had 22,000 likes, so it was a tough decision but necessary, so rather, I created a personal page on facebook where I can interact with the fans of my work more frequently... and move most of the same fans onto the new personal page. I want to be doing more mural work in the future, I feel that it is the biggest wow factor to encourage success in my life. How about you? I saw you take a large interest in photography and media

It sounds like you're going places! I know a local artist in my area who does airbrush murals for businesses, and they're some of the coolest things I've seen. I didn't realize there was such a market for things like that (or maybe businesses just really like his artwork that much). Anyway, that's cool that you're pursuing your passion with such determination. I wish you the best of luck in the future! I do have a huge passion in media! I do photography as a hobby and am getting pretty seriously into portraiture. I don't do much with it yet aside from posting it on Instagram in the hopes of being featured on some bigger pages someday. I do, however, do a lot of filmmaking with some friends on the side. We shoot little projects when we can and competed in two film races this summer, where we had 24 hours for one race and 48 for another to write, shoot, and edit a completely original short film. I hope to be doing filmmaking professionally someday!

@CodenameFStop Sounds great, Julian! I'm actually soon in the market for a reliable media guy to document some of my projects. I want a documentary very badly, but the last guy who was going to do it went through some financial and personal problems and abandoned the task which was unfortunate

At least you have an outlet to release that negativity. I am not one that shares any of my artwork. I sing to get out the negative.

No, I feel fine after painting them, the only thing that that would bring back any negativity is if I wasn't happy with how the painting turned out.. but then I go back to it and just keep working on it :)

It does leave a lasting impression. I will have night mares tonight for sure. . To be real for a moment, you might want to submit your painting to the makers of the television sci-fi drama The X-Files. It would be a perfect fit for that show. Just my 2 cents.

@kobesbuddy I hear you, I believe horror art is popular amongst a specific crowd. For many, it's almost like the thrill of a roller coaster at an amusement park, many people love the thrill, but roller coasters aren't for everyone -Mr. Anomaly

I'm sorry to hear that you don't enjoy them, keep in mind that they are simply paintings and will not jump out at you. Most of my artwork is geared toward horror enthusiasts, so the rule really does apply that you cannot please everyone. Nonetheless, I hope that you are having a great day and that all is well for you
