Avid reader as I am, I have been tackling my stack of unread books with a furied pace. I only have a couple left unread on my shelf. I have an Amazon gift card that needs to get spent and was thinking about what books I should buy with it. Instead of aimlessly perusing Amazon for hours reading reviews on different books I hought Id get your opinions! I am personally a fan of fiction, crime/mystery, and memoirs mainly. A few romances here and there are ok. Haveyou read anything astounding lately youd suggest to me? What are you reading right now?

What I'm reading doesn't fall in any of those categories. I'm on the last of a trilogy by Deborah Harkness. Called the All Souls Trilogy. First - Discovery of Witches, Second - Shadow of Night, Third - Book of Life. It's a trilogy about witches, vampires, and daemons. It's very good. Not my typical read, but nothing is typical for me lately. I got it on recommendation from another reader on here who gave a review of the first book.

Nice. I try to branch out but for some reason I just cannot make myself read fantasy/supernatural genres!

I'm reading a book on Alex Ferguson. Good read even for the non-football fans.

Hmmm. Well, a woman named Helene Cooper wrote her memoir, and it was amazing. It's called "The House at Sugar Beach". Another one that has less drama is a memoir called "Japan Took the J.A.P. Out of Me" by Lisa Fineberg Cook. That's being turned into a TV movie. And anything by Laurie Notaro will make you laugh your rear off. Every time she writes a book I buy it. I don't think you could go wrong with any, but you can look into any of these by searching for them on Amazon.

I can only suggest authors since I am also an avid reader. I go with James Patterson, JD Robb, John Sanford, Patricia Cornwall, Sue Grafton, and Clive Cussler and for heavier reading there is Robert Ludlum and Tom Clancy.

I just finished Jennifer Probst's All or Nothing at All, a contemporary romance novel. I'm reading a couple other books too. I could give you a laundry list of mysteries and cozies, thrillers and romances.
