The first measurable rain since May

It fell today here in Eugene and from what I can see on the news, will even be enough to dampen the spirits, at least temporarily, of the 20 plus fires burning in my state. Unfortunately, my daughter in Portland saw no rain fall there.
I heard thunder too this afternoon, unusual for western Oregon, but there was apparently little lightning, so maybe no new fires started.
We are hoping that some of the fires can be contained with the help of this wonderful rainfall.

@JamesHxstatic well we didnt get much rain all summer. So i guess. But seats in car got soaked again.

Mother Nature is really giving the US a barrelling at the moment. I'm glad you're getting some rain.
